2) What Data We Collect

When you use our app, we collect the following data:

  • Running videos: These are uploaded and used to analyze your running technique.
  • Personal data: This includes your name, email address, and other data provided during registration.
  • Usage data: Information about your interactions with the app, such as features used or videos analyzed.
  • Chat messages: When you use the integrated chatbot, your inputs (prompts) are processed together with anonymised analysis data. These conversations are stored in our backend for 90 days. Please do not enter any sensitive or personal data in the chat (e.g. health data, passwords or payment information)

3) How We Use Your Data

  • To provide the running analysis and related services, especially personalized training recommendations. This also includes delivering interpretable analysis results in text form. For this purpose, anonymized analysis data (e.g., joint angles) may be transmitted to a Large Language Model (LLM) operated by OpenAI in order to generate comprehensible textual summaries.
  • To improve and further develop our services, particularly for training our AI models to deliver more accurate analyses.
  • To communicate with you, for example, to provide updates or important information about Nemeko.
  • Providing the chatbot: Your chat inputs are transmitted together with anonymised analysis data (e.g. running metrics) to the OpenAI API in order to generate AI-powered responses. No personally identifiable information such as your name or email address is transmitted.

Important: Your data will not be shared with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.


4) Storage and Processing of Your Data

  • Your data is stored and processed on servers located in Germany by a cloud provider that complies with GDPR requirements.
  • Videos are only stored for as long as necessary to provide the analysis and improve our services. After this period, they will be anonymized or deleted.
  • Chat conversations are stored in our backend for 90 days and automatically deleted thereafter. Storage serves the purposes of quality assurance, troubleshooting, and the prevention of misuse.

5) Communication via Email

  • We may occasionally send you updates or information about new features of Nemeko via email.
  • If you no longer wish to receive such emails, you can unsubscribe at any time via the link provided in the email.

6) Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Request information about the data we store about you.
  • Request the correction of incorrect data or deletion of your data, provided there is no legal obligation to retain it.
  • Object to the processing of your data or request that processing be restricted.
  • Withdraw your consent to the use of your data at any time.
  • Receive a copy of your data in a commonly used, machine-readable format (data portability).

7) Disclosure to Third Parties

Your data is generally not shared with third parties. Exceptions apply only where legally required or necessary for the fulfillment of our services (e.g., by our cloud providers), or in anonymized form for the textual processing of analysis results by OpenAI’s LLM as well as for providing the chatbot, whereby chat inputs are transmitted together with anonymised analysis data.

All service providers acting on our behalf are obligated to process your data securely and in accordance with data protection laws.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. This includes secure transmission and storage methods as well as access controls.


9) Changes to This Privacy Policy

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time to comply with legal requirements or reflect changes in our services. We recommend checking this page regularly. We will inform you of any significant changes via email or through the app.
